When Bart is riding his bike with Raymond Bird in the basket, he comes across Nelson. When Nelson half-heartedly mocks Bart with a "Ha! Ha!", Bart asks him why. Nelson says it is because his mom ran off with his birthday clown.
Later, at Raymond bird's funeral, Nelson asks his mom how he was and she tells him to ask his new dad. This means that they may be married. After he hoots something at Nelson, Nelson says that he doesn't have the right to tell him that yet.
