Lassie is a collie dog.
History
When Homer talked about the dog heaven and hell he said one of the Lassies was in the dog hell, the mean one that mauled Jimmy.[1]
Before Homer had a performance said Smithers at he have some sad news to report, a small puppy, not unlike Lassie, was just run over in the parking lot.[2]
When Little Monty stands up asked Mr. Burns to Smithers who he reminds me of. Smithers asked if it's Lassie, but it wasn't.[3]
When Bart was up early watching the families animals on Lassie on TV.[4]
Homer has says that Barney's birthday is the same day as Lassie's.[5]
