Paul Bunyan is a mythological lumberjack who is usually described as a giant as well as a lumberjack of unusual skill.

History[edit]

The singing railroad hobo told the story of Paul Bunyan to the Simpson family. In the story, Abe Bunyan was shocked when his wife gave birth to Paul. As Paul grew up, he became a burden on the town, with the townspeople constantly making food for him and accidentally crushing and eating it. Eventually, the townspeople got sick of this and drugged Paul, dragging him away from town. Upon realizing that the townspeople didn't want him anymore, Paul left and carved Babe out of a mountain when he got lonely. As he slept that night, Babe got struck by magical lightning and came to life.

Paul and Babe then went on adventures together, accidentally creating the Great Smoky Mountains, Death Valley, and Big Holes with Beer National Park, while fighting Rodan as they went. Eventually, Paul saw a woman, whom he immediately fell in love with. The two started dating until they eventually got married. Sometime after their wedding, the townspeople found out that a meteor was coming toward them and would kill them all. They asked Paul to come back and save them, which he did when they told him he would be popular. When he gave his wife a good luck kiss, the meteor landed in his butt crack, causing Paul pain. Paul then took out the meteor and threw it at Chicago, causing the Great Chicago Fire.

During the story, Lisa questioned its accuracy and inconsistencies with Paul's size. She also said that Paul Bunyan didn't cause the Great Chicago Fire.[1]

A statue of Paul Bunyan had been converted into a statue of Shiva outside of the Taj Meatball.[2]
