Character Information
|
Captain Kathryn Janeway is a fictional character in the Star Trek franchise. She is the captain of the starship USS Voyager, after which the series Star Trek: Voyager is named.
History[edit]
Comic Book Guy once tried to download a naked picture of Janeway, saying, "Lace ... the final brassiere!" as the picture began to appear on his screen. However, the download went very slowly, prompting Comic Book Guy to complain about his modem. When Janeway's cleavage began to show on the screen, a pop-up ad for Compu-Global-Hyper-Mega-Net (Homer's Internet company) covered the middle of the screen just as Janeway's breasts were about to appear. Comic Book Guy was frustrated with the interruption, but decided to contact the "Internet King" to see if he could provide faster nudity.[1]
When the Simpsons re-created their party for the final episode of Star Trek: Voyager, Homer said that Janeway's mission ended too soon.[2]
Behind the Laughter[edit]
- "Lace ... the final brassiere!" is a pun on Star Trek's well-known catchphrase, "Space: the final frontier."
