Character Information
|
Harvey Raymondo, better known as The Great Raymondo, is a magician who teaches Lisa magic tricks.
History[edit]
A raccoon chases Lisa inside Raymondo's house. Raymondo returns home and a frightened Lisa hides in a nearby sarcophagus but is transported to a chest on the other side of the room. She questions him and learns that Raymondo was once the world's greatest magician. He then goes on to show her his most famous trick - "The Great Milkcan Escape!" - which was handed down to him from Houdini himself. Lisa asks if he'll teach her some tricks, which he eventually agrees to do when he sees how good she is. Lisa starts presenting magic tricks to the school, and to Raymondo.
It soon turns to trouble when she finds the secret to "The Great Milk-can Escape". She presents to the school but after the son of "Cregg Demon" "magic freak" tricks her into giving the secret. Then he tells him. Cregg Demon said that he is going to present it at his next magic show, the "World Magic Championship", and says Houdini's ghost told him in a dream. Raymondo, upset, tells Lisa to get out. Lisa tries to stop doing magic. Soon after, Raymondo forgives her. At the magic show, some other magicians replace the fake milk-can with a real one so that Cregg Demon cannot get out. Lisa wants to save him, but no one does. After a magic battle, Raymondo saves him by making a girder fall onto the magicians, and Cregg Demon quits magic. At the end, Raymondo and Lisa do their act together.[1]
He was later seen as one of the people fleeced by Homer's parking meter scam.[2]
