History

Miss Piggy is one of the main stars of Jim Henson's Muppet creations. She has appeared in various productions before her career on The Muppet Show as a background or a ordinary pig. She was performed by Muppeteer, Frank Oz who also puppeteered Fozzie Bear, Animal, and Yoda from the Star Wars film series. Fozzie Bear was Frank Oz's original main character sharing the pig with fellow Mupeteer, Richard Hunt, until the second season in which Miss Piggy became his main character. From then on Miss Piggy has been one of the most well known Muppets other than Kermit. She has appeared in every Muppet featured film, special, and has also appeared as a guest star for some reality shows.
