When Homer hugged Patty and Selma for the loss of Aunt Gladys Gurney, Selma told Patty, "He's hugging us. What do we do?" She answered, "Just close your eyes and think of MacGyver."[2]
Selma's lock of MacGyver's hair was one of the items stolen by the Cat Burglar.[3]
