Brandine gave birth to Normal Head Joe, which at that time did have a normal head. He was infested with a tick, which caused his head to swell up. Days after, Bart and Lisa Simpson were searching for truffles when Lisa told Bart to get a truffle the size of Normal Head Joe's head. Cletus was talking to him outside his house.[1]

Normal Head Joe Spuckler was mentioned by Cletus as one of the Spuckler children that Brandine got to sing a song to convince Cletus to return to his family.[2]
