The train engineer is a train driver.

History

He crashed his train into Captain Horatio McCallister's ship after Homer was kidnapped by Louie. He then needed a camera battery so ran into the shop Cameras, bought a battery, and ran back to his train and drove off.

When Homer's "D'oh!" causes an earthquake, it breaks the train track. The driver said that he told the people who made it to make the track D'oh-proof.
