The Superfriends

The Superfriends is an exclusive science-themed club made up of academically gifted students, including Lisa, Ham, Database, E-mail, Cosine, and Report Card. They are given nicknames depending on their interest.

History

After Bart Simpson accidentally became famous for discovering a comet, the club invited him to join during lunch at Springfield Elementary School. In keeping with their tradition of assigning themed nicknames, they renamed Bart “Cosmos” and formally welcomed him into the group. Lisa was notably the only female member at the time. The Superfriends were deeply interested in astronomy, technology, and scientific observation. When Bart casually pointed out that the comet was visible in daylight, the group quickly realized it was heading directly toward Earth. Database and the others immediately understood the danger and organized an emergency trip to the Springfield Observatory to warn authorities.
