History[edit]
When The Krusty the Clown Show was cancelled he told his team that they never had a bad show except for the one with Ray Jay Johnson, and he started doing impressions of him.[1]
After Homer failed as an artist Marge complained that all his things were kind of the same. Homer defended himself saying that Ray J. Johnson never changed his act, and he's more popular now than he's ever been. Lisa heard him and asked who he was. Homer then did an impression of Johnson and stopped when Lisa said that she is already sick of him.[2]
When Lisa tells Homer and Marge that Bart is acting funny, Homer asks, "Ray J. funny or O.J. funny?"[3]
Ray J. Johnson is in "Ode to Branson" during the musical That's Familiar!. He said that you can call him "Ray", or "Jay", but don't call him washed up[4]
