Character Information Gender: Male ♂ Status: Alive Hair: Brown Occupation: Psychiatrist Relatives: Brother: Niles Crane First appearance: "Fear of Flying"

Dr. Frasier Crane is a psychiatrist in the TV series Cheers and Frasier, played by Kelsey Grammer.

History

Homer, while looking for a new bar to hang out in after being kicked out of Moe's, briefly stopped at Cheers. He saw the regulars and staff working there, including Frasier, but was scared away by Normie's alcoholism and found another bar.

Bart and Homer watched an episode of Frasier, in which Bart asked Niles why he permitted his dad to intimidate him.

Krusty had Kelsey Grammer as a guest sidekick on The Krusty the Clown Show, where he introduced him as Sideshow Kelsey from the hit TV series Frasier. Grammer then told Krusty that he had played Frasier Crane for "well-nigh twenty years."

Behind the Laughter

"Brother from Another Series" frequently refers to Frasier, as Kelsey Grammar and David Hyde Pierce both play brothers Sideshow Bob and Cecil, respectively. Both pairs of brothers share similar dynamics.

Frasier has been seen in person by Homer, and has also referred to as a fictitious person by Marge. Consequently, his status as a character in the context of The Simpsons is unknown.
