Behind the Laughter

Mrs. Samson as seen in a Maggie's Crib comic story.
Mrs. Samson has made a couple of appearances in the Maggie's Crib series of comic stories. In these stories Mrs. Samson is portrayed as plump and friendly to Marge, as opposed to in television episodes, where she's shown as slim and somewhat snobbish. Maggie's and Gerald's rivalry, however, is not only consistent between TV and the comics but also expanded on a bit in the Maggie's Crib stories.

In the comics, Mrs. Samson has been depicted with white hair as well as brown hair.[2]
