Barbara Van Horne is the wife of Sideshow Mel, although they are currently separated.[2]

History
She and Mel were interested in buying a house with a bowling alley (which Marge talks them out of buying).[3] Sideshow Mel says she does not respect his French arts.[4]
She left a note for Mel saying that she had left him.[2]
Description
She has the same hair color as Sideshow Mel, but unlike Mel her hair is a normal style. She rarely speaks when other people are around.
