The Persian man is a shopkeeper works at Springfield Mall. He owns a kiosk that sells Persian CDs and toothache cream.

History

While the Simpsons wandered through a rundown, mostly deserted Springfield Mall, they came across the spot where a JCPenney's used to be. Lisa then pointed out that it was now just a collection of candle kiosks and Persian CD stores. At that point the Persian man comes out and offers Homer "the latest by Nabil," a CD which he describes as being like "Bruce Springsteen, The Boss." Homer is initially hesitant, but agrees to buy the CD after the man throws in a free tube of toothache cream. The man happily exclaims "we have deal!" and hands Homer his purchases.
