Barbara Van Horne is the presumed wife of Sideshow Mel.

She and Mel were interested in buying a house with a bowling alley (which Marge talks them out of buying). Sideshow Mel says she does not respect his French arts.

She has the same hair color as Sideshow Mel, but unlike Mel her hair is a normal style. She rarely speaks when other people are around.

They seem to have an on/off relationship as Mel has been seen with Princess Kashmir and Lindsey Naegle in the past.
