Miss Piggy is a pig from The Muppets.
History
Miss Piggy is one of the main stars of Jim Henson's Muppet creations. She has appeared in various productions before her career on The Muppet Show as a background or a ordinary pig. She was performed by Muppeteer, Frank Oz who also puppeteered Fozzie Bear, Animal, and Yoda from the Star Wars film series. Fozzie Bear was Frank Oz's original main character sharing the pig with fellow Mupeteer, Richard Hunt, until the second season in which Miss Piggy became his main character. From then on Miss Piggy has been one of the most well known Muppets other than Kermit. She has appeared in every Muppet featured film, special, and has also appeared as a guest star for some reality shows.
History on The Simpsons
Miss Piggy is one of the main characters on the Muppets' own TV show, The Muppet Show. In addition to being a love interest for Kermit, Miss Piggy frequently appears in sketches with other Muppets and with the celebrity guests. In one such appearance, Lurleen Lumpkin was the guest and sang her seductive song "Bunk with Me Tonight" for Kermit. Miss Piggy became jealous, rushed onto the stage, and beat up and strangled Kermit..[1]
Miss Piggy and Kermit also co-starred with Troy McClure in The Muppets Go Medieval.[2]
