Raphael (also commonly known as the Sarcastic Clerk, Wiseguy, or Middle-Aged Man), is a man with a sarcastic outlook on life. He is always seen having different jobs. Sideshow Bob identifies his first name as Raphael He used to have a bird as a pet, Raymond Bird, which Bart and Lisa took care of until it died.

Jobs

He has held numerous jobs in Springfield including: garage owner, mail man, taxi driver, gun salesman, Noiseland Video Arcade proprietor and various shop clerks and handymen. He was also seen as a money changer in the First Church of Springfield after it had it's makeover. He brought an ice resurfacer for Bart to freeze the school's floor. He used to work for Waverly Hills's city hall. He was also a repo-man, of which when he "accidentally" hurts Milhouse, he says "Ha ha! I love this job!".
