Character Information
|
Lewis is a character on The Simpsons. He is Bart's only African-American friend, and one of only a handful of black students at Springfield Elementary. His best friend is Richard and can be seen playing the bassoon in the opening sequence of the show.
History
Lewis is one of Bart's friends and fellow fourth graders in Mrs. Krabappel's class at Springfield Elementary School. Lewis is seen as one of Bart's best friends yet not nearly as good a friend to Bart as Milhouse, or even Nelson. He is most commonly seen playing in the schoolyard with his best friend Richard. His most famous line that he ever said was most likely in the episode "Wild Barts Can't Be Broken" where he exclaims "In your face, fishwife!" at the movie The Bloodening the children are all breaking curfew and sneaking to watch at the drive in. Lewis was one of the children in the Model UN Club that got stranded on the island in "Das Bus". He is also a player on the Mighty Pigs Peewee Hockey Team and according to gossip is a very good ballroom dancer.
Voice
Throughout the series, he has been voiced by Jo Ann Harris, Nancy Cartwright, Pamela Hayden, Maggie Roswell and Russi Taylor. This is for the fact the he rarely speaks and thus has no specific voice actor.
