Formico is the man whom Moe hired to bring his bar "into the 20th century." He tells Homer that his name "must never be spoken."
History
After talking with his old professor, Moe decided to redesign his bar as a way to reinvigorate his interest in bartending. Moe hired Formico to lead the redesign and give Moe's a more modern look. The result was a post-modern themed bar, simply namd M.
Formico was later present at the bars grand reopening, where Moe introduced Formico to his regulars Homer, Barney, Carl and Lenny. Taking note of their unfashionable appearance, Formico pulled a light bulb out of a lamp, shrouding the four in darkness. He then got some employees to set up a small barricade around them so that none of the other patrons would be able to see or run into them.
