Godzilla is a Japanese movie monster, who starred in dozens of films since 1954. The first one, "Godzilla" (1954) is considered to be a classic and the best one according to the fans. During the 1960s and 1970s the Godzilla films became increasingly more cheap, child friendly, surrealistic and silly. Since the 1980s the character has been rebooted to its more menacing original self. In 1998 an American remake was made, which wasn't well received.
