Lord Macbeth is a character in the play Macbeth. He appeared in a story told by Marge Simpson.

History

Lord Macbeth was originally played by Sideshow Mel in the Springfield production of Macbeth. However, Marge wanted Homer to have the lead role, since he was only playing a tree in the play. Marge convinced Homer to kill Sideshow Mel so that Homer could take on the role of Macbeth. After Homer beat Mel to death with his own bone, Homer got the part.

In the play, Homer kept forgetting his lines as Macbeth. This led to him getting terrible reviews. Eventually, Marge convinced Homer to kill the rest of the cast so he would be the best cast member. Homer gave his performance as Macbeth to an empty audience and impressed Marge.
