Character Information

Marty, also known as The Illustrative Man, is a circus freak at the Bradbury Carnival.
History
When the Simpson family visited the Bradbury Carnival, Bart and Lisa met Marty behind the freak show tent. Marty told Bart and Lisa that his tattoos were cursed and were drawn on him by a sorcerer. Bart thought he could see Marty's tattoos come to life and saw stories being shown through them. However, Lisa didn't believe Bart until she finally saw her own worst nightmare told through the tattoos. After the final story, Cooder called Marty in to perform his show and the two carnies laughed about the kids believing in his cursed tattoos, as a tattoo of the two of them laughing together appears on Marty.
Behind the Laughter
Marty is a parody of the Illustrated Man from the Ray Bradbury collection The Illustrated Man. Marty bears a striking resemblance to Leon Kompowsky.
