Character Information
|
Neil Armstrong is an American aviator and former astronaut, test pilot, aerospace engineer, university professor, and United States Naval Aviator. He was the first person to set foot on the Moon.
History
Armstrong had a booth at the Springfield Bi-Mon-Sci-Fi-Con, but no one wanted his autograph or even cared that he had actually been to the Moon. Annoyed by the convention attendees' indifference, Armstrong came close to firing his agent.[1]
In a flashback scene, Homer remembered the television coverage when Armstrong set foot on the Moon, and Armstrong's voice was heard as he delivered his famous "One small step ..." line.[2] When Krusty was married to Holly Hippy, he prevented her from seeing the moon landing as he was jealous of Armstrong.[3]
