- "Hello, Joe!"
- ―Mona Flanders
Mona Flanders (née Godd) is the mother of Ned Flanders and the wife of Nedward Flanders Sr.
Mona Flanders is a beatnik, revealed when a much younger Mona and her husband were seening bringing Ned to Dr. Foster.[1] Due to her advanced age, it seems likely that Mona is now dead. However, Ned mentions that Rod and Todd do still have at least one living grandmother. It is not clear, however, if this is in reference to Mona, or to Maude's mother.
Flanders once said, "Homer, you met my parents" (to which Homer replied, "Not naked I haven't", as he was naked at the time), so they are probably alive.[2]
