Barbara is partner and presumed wife of Sideshow Mel. If they are wed, her full name is Barbara Van Horne.
She and Mel were interested in buying a house with a bowling alley (which Marge talks them out of buying)[1]. Sideshow Mel says she does not respect his French arts[2].
She has the same hair color as Sideshow Mel, but unlike Mel her hair is a normal style. She has not been heard to speak. It is possible that she is Krusty the Clown's sister[3].
