Jacques "Brunswick" is a [[bowling]] instructor voiced by [[Albert Brooks]] who pursued an affair with Marge Simpson in "[[Life on the Fast Lane]]". Marge, who was angry at Homer for giving her a bowling ball for her birthday, went bowling and met Jacques. Jacques immediately became infatuated with her and insisted that they get together. Although reluctant at first, Marge eventually joins him for brunch and he later invites her to his apartment. Marge is forced to choose between Jacques and Homer, and chooses Homer. Jacques' surname is derived from the fact that Marge's bowling ball is called 'Homer', as that was what was engraved on it, and when she saw '[[Brunswick Corporation|Brunswick]]' on Jacques' ball she called him Mr. Brunswick, even though this is probably the make of the ball, and not Jacques' surname. Jacques later appeared in the episode [[Pin Pals]] where he is seen with [[Princess Kashmir]] losing a game against Homer and his bowling team. He makes a brief appearance in "[[And Maggie Makes Three]]", where he is seen bowling. He also is seen briefly in an episode in a doctor's office.
