[hide]History
Lewis is one of Bart's friends and fellow fourth graders in Mrs. Krabappel's class at Springfield Elementary School. In Season 1, Lewis was considered to be Bart's 2nd best friend, and fairly frequently accompanied him and Milhouse. As Milhouse's role on the show increased, Lewis was moved to the background. As Nelson moved from being an antagonist to a friend of Bart's, Lewis was seen with Bart even less often, and was finally relegated to background character status.
Lewis had a few actions in Season 1. He annoyed a guilt ridden Bart when he hid under a pile of leaves and pretended to be Principal Skinner's corpse, and he failed to vote for Bart in the class presidential elections. He is most commonly seen playing in the schoolyard with his best friend Richard. His most famous line that he ever said was most likely in the episode "Wild Barts Can't Be Broken" where he exclaims "In your face, fishwife!" at the movie The Bloodening.
Lewis was one of the children in the Model UN Club that got stranded on the island in "Das Bus." In that episode, Bart mistook him for Wendell. He is also a player on the Mighty Pigs Peewee Hockey Team and according to gossip is a very good ballroom dancer. He is also one of the children wearing Itchy and Scratchy masks who attacks you on the fifth level of The Simpsons Game (Mob Rules).
Family
His grandfather was seen in Raging Abe Simpson and His Grumbling Grandson in "The Curse of the Flying Hellfish".
Voice
Throughout the series, he has been voiced by Jo Ann Harris, Nancy Cartwright, Pamela Hayden and Russi Taylor. This is for the fact the he rarely speaks and thus has no specific voice actor.
