"Portuguese" Fausto is a crew mate on The Rotting Pelican.
History[edit]
Fausto was introduced to Homer by Jack when he was made to work on The Rotting Pelican. Jack told Homer that all Fausto did was play with his pocket knife. Fausto then said that it was his thing, but then the knife broke, which meant Fausto needed to find a new thing. After Homer beer-battered the hooks and baited the shrimp for dinner because he thought it was Opposite Day, Fausto said that they should not go and check the hooks, to which Jack responded with "it's not opposite day".
After The Rotting Pelican got shipwrecked, Fausto was saved by a Japanese fishing vessel among the rest of the crew. When he and the crew went to the church in Barnacle Bay, an INS agent recognized him as "Portuguese" Fausto and chased after him.
