Huell Howser is an American television personality.

History[edit]

Homer and Lisa once watched a television show called Under the Wrapper, which was hosted by Howser. During the program, Howser interviewed a gumdrop manufacturer to find out how gumdrops, "America's favorite drops", are made.

The manufacturer told Howser that gum drops are made from "succulent" gelatin. He then proceeded to explain that gelatin was made from "the skin, bones and hooves of only the sickest horses", which Howell thought was "amazing". This shocked both Lisa and Homer, the latter of whom frantically tried to change the channel just as the program was showing a slaughterhouse.[1]
