Horst did not think highly of Homer, largely due to Homer's lackadaisical attitude towards work and his "Land of Chocolate" daydreaming. Horst stopped working at the power plant when his bosses sold it back to Mr. Burns after realizing how costly and dangerous it was to maintain it.[1]

Hans and Horst were investigating a conspiracy theory together that Angela Merkel was really born in Brazil.[2]
