History

The Simpsons are shown Evan Conover of the U.S State Department's slideshow about the "hurt feelings" of Australians after a brief fad in the late 1980s Americans had lost interest in Australian culture. One of the slide was a boarded up movie theater with a marquee advertising a Yahoo Serious Festival. Lisa noted, "I know those words, but that sign makes no sense."

The bone through Sideshow Mel's hair actually came from a kangaroo and given to him by Yahoo Serious.
