Mr. Norman is chairman of the Neighborhood Association where the Simpson family lives.
History[edit]
When Marge started to hang laundry outdoors, Mr. Norman saw and sent her a letter in which he told her she must take down the clothes as they are an eyesore and it violates the rules imposed by the Neighborhood Association. Marge refused to surrender and at the next Neighborhood Association meeting they discussed if Marge could hang clothes outdoors. Mr. Norman said she couldn't but at the meeting came a group of angry women from Springfield and they asked Norman what was wrong with the bras, and remembered that Norman was mad when they burned them and now he did not want them to air dry them. Ned asked if they could vote to let the Simpsons dry clothes outdoors, so long as they didn't dry Homer's underwear and everyone besides Norman accepted it.
