Sherri and Terri
Sherri and Terri are two mischevious identical twins. They are Caucasian girls, who are in the 4th grade with Bart. Sherri and Terri are quite bright students. They are often very conniving and mean, even to each other. When it comes to Bart, they are quite stuck up, and never miss an opportunity to berate him. Bart appears to have a crush on one of them. They both have pink bowties on their hair, and pink dresses.
They both have purple long hair. They are 10 years old. Their occupations are students at Springfield Elementary School. Their partents are Sherri and Terri's Mother (unnamed) and Sherri and Terri's Father (unnamed). Their debut was in Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire.
Sherri and Terri often bully Lisa, as shown in the episode, "Sleeping with the Enemy," where they tease Lisa about her "big butt" (known as "The Simpson Butt"). Sherri is voiced by Russi Taylor, and Terri is voiced by Nancy Cartwright.
History
Sherri referred to Bart as an ugly, smelly dork, but was convinced by Homer to go on a date with Bart after he told her that neither she nor Bart could do much better. One of the twins stated that her sister had a crush on Bart. It is unknown if this is the truth or if it is just teasing (a lie). Another time, Homer openly addressed Terri as "The One, Bart Has a Crush On."
When it comes to Lisa, they are just as inconsistent. One minute, they will be friends on the schoolyard, playing together, and the next day, they will be ganging up on her. More often than not it is the latter, usually not including Lisa, because she is too smart, or too weird.
Sherri and Terri are also seen in the introduction. In the scene, where Lisa is seen, playing the saxaphone, Sherri and Terri are sitting together, holding their flutes, where in the new HD opening, they are playing on Nintendo DSs.
Family
In the episode, "Homer's Odyssey," it is revealed that Sherri and Terri's father is Homer's supervisor at the Power Plant. He fires Homer for causing an accident, while waving to Bart from a cart, during a school tour of the Power Plant. However, Homer had the last laugh when he was promoted above Sherri and Terri's father to safety inspector.
Sherri and Terri's mother is shown in "Bart Sells His Soul," and looks just like them.
In the episode, "Raging Abe Simpson and His Grumbling Grandson in "The Curse of the Flying Hellfish"," Sherri and Terri's grandmother is seen, who looks just like them, and she loves her granddaughters.
Possible Future
In the episode, "Future-Drama," set "8 years in the future", it is revealed that Nelson simultaneously dated (and impregnated) Sherri and Terri, who bore him 4 children (two sets of twins, naturally) shortly before Nelson's high school graduation. He abandoned them, during Bart's graduation party.
Creation
Sherri and Terri have similarities to the ghost girls. In a deleted scene of the parody of The Shining called "Treehouse of Horror V," Sherri and Terri are ghost twins, seen by Bart. Also, they take on this role in The Simpsons Game, where in a cheatrix elevator, they are heard, shouting, "Come play with us, Bart!".
