Shelby's father is the unnamed father of Shelby. He works at the Shelbyville Car Impound Lot.

Bart, Milhouse, Nelson, Martin, Todd, and Database headed into Shelbyville to get back an iconic lemon tree that was stolen from Springfield. The tree was hidden and guarded by some Shelbyvillian children, led by Shelby, at the Shelbyville Car Impound Lot. When Homer and the other parents found their kids, they were strongly offended with the people from Shelbyville for stealing their lemon tree and went to speak with Shelby's father. Behind the Laughter[edit]
The character is a bit of a doppelgänger for Homer so Hank Azaria based the voice on Walter Matthau since Dan Castellaneta had also originally based Homer's voice on Walter Matthau.[1]
