Dash Dingo is a video game character and a store mascot. Dash has many Australian stereotypes (hat, accent, etc.).
When Lisa was ill and staying home from school, she wanted to study in spite of not feeling well. Marge, however, insisted that she relax and play one of Bart's video games. Lisa gave Dash a try and at first pooh-poohed the game, dismissing it as being of poor quality. However, she quickly got hooked on the game, forgot all about her schoolwork, and ended up cheating on a test because she hadn't studied for it[1].
