Prince Bart is a nonexistent prince who King Henry VIII dreamed of as an expression of his desire for a son and heir. He appeared in a story told by Marge
History
In Henry VIII's dream, Prince Bart told him that he was "smart, athletic and ever so masculine". He then belched loudly. When Henry VIII questioned why he couldn't have him as a son, Prince Bart suggested that he was "jerkin [your] merkin" too much. Henry VIII then strangled Prince Bart and told him to get out of his dreams and into his wife.
Behind the Laughter
Prince Bart's outfit is based on King Henry VIII's only surviving son King Edward VI.
King Henry VIII was known to have had three sons, a son also named Henry by his first wife Catherine of Aragon who died at 7 weeks, his acknowledge bastard Henry FitzRoy, Duke of Richmond by his mistress Bessie Blount and his successor King Edward VI by his third wife Jane Seymour.
