The Persian man is a shopkeeper works at Springfield Mall. He owns a kiosk that sells Persian CDs and toothache cream.
History[edit]
When the Simpsons wandered through a rundown, mostly deserted Springfield Mall, they came across the spot where a JCPenney's used to be. Lisa then pointed out that it was now just a collection of candle kiosks and Persian CD stores. At that point the Persian man came out and offered Homer Uma Shang Shang: The Flower Song, "the latest by Nabil," a CD which he described as being like "Bruce Springsteen, The Boss." He then sung the title song "Uma Shang Shang" to persuade Homer to buy it. Homer was initially hesitant, but agreed to buy the CD after the man threw in a free tube of toothache cream. The man happily exclaimed "we have deal!" and handed Homer his purchases.
