Though the topic is found within The Simpsons universe, a proper name is not available.

The Robot Controller was a worker at the Springfield Knowledgeum who controlled a sham-robot. Bart knocked him off a tree by throwing an apple at him, causing him to lose control of the robot which made it to go mad.
