John Armstrong was the Democratic Party nominee against Krusty when he run in the special election for Springfield's congressional district to succeed the late Congressman Horace Wilcox which John Armstrong lost.

Behind the Laughter[edit]

Show creator Matt Groening has publicly claimed Fox News Channel was threatened sue over the scene of John Armstrong and Krusty debating on Fox News Channel.[1]
