The sushi chef is the head sushi chef of Swanky Fish, a sushi restaurant in Springfield.

History

When Marge and Homer went on a romantic dinner at Swanky Fish, a customer was there asking for soy sauce for his roll. When Akira Kurosawa told the customer that they did not recommend soy sauce for that roll, the customer went to put his own soy sauce on the roll, only for the sushi chef to come over and yell at him "No Soy Sauce!". The sushi chef then ordered the staff to flick things at the customer and his wife. When that didn't work with making them leave, the sushi chef used a fire extinguisher on them to make them leave. The customer came back with a tip and the sushi chef sprayed him again and told him that tips were included with the price of the meal.

Later, after Marge had a fight with Homer, Homer came back to Swanky Fish. The sushi chef asked Homer what was wrong and then gave Homer some great sushi-related marriage advice. Homer went back to Marge, with sushi, and Marge considered taking Homer back, but refused when Homer ate two pieces of sushi before she had had one. Homer then gave the sushi to Santa's Little Helper. After Santa's Little Helper ate a piece, the sushi chef woke up in bed, next to his wife and was outraged that his sushi was eaten by a dog. His wife, who had just gotten fired that day, was annoyed that her husband was more upset about a dog eating his sushi than her getting fired.
