Fox Mulder is one of the main characters from the drama series The X-Files. In The X-Files he is played by David Duchovny and believes in UFOs and a government conspiracy to hide or deny the truth of their existence. With his FBI partner Dana Scully, the two work in the X-Files office, which is concerned with cases with particularly mysterious or possibly supernatural circumstances that were left unsolved and shelved by the FBI.

In The Simpsons, Mulder appeared in the crossover episode "The Springfield Files" along with Scully. In the episode, Homer believes he has seen an alien, so Mulder and Scully investigate, later determining that Homer was crazy. he also had a brief cameo in "Missionary: Impossible".
