Nedward Flanders Sr. is the father of Ned Flanders and the husband of Mona Flanders. He is a beatnik. He and his wife brings Ned to Dr. Foster[1]. It was said that he was in the army, during World War II, and was known as Major Flanders, and was a superior of Abraham Simpson[2].
