Mr. Costington is the chairman of Costington’s department store, and Springfield Mall. He is an insensitive, rude, and obese multi-millionaire.
History
Homer has worked for him on three occasions: as the Thanksgiving Day Parade Santa Claus, as a mattress salesman, and a model for top-brand Jeans. He also seems to have employed the The Yes Guy for he works at the shop most of his appearances.
Behind the Laughter
Costington is one of very few characters on the show to actually have eyebrows. Costington's catchphrase is "You're fiiired!" which he uses every time he fires employees. While he is saying this, he shakes his big cheeks. Whenever this happens, his voice vibrates. In "The Boys of Bummer", when he hires Homer, he says '"You're hiiired!".
