Joe Swanson is a friend of Peter Griffin.
History
He gave Peter ideas for his newspaper comic, For Pete's Sake. He later attended the court trial for Duff vs. Pawtucket Patriot Ale in Springfield Court House with his wife Bonnie Swanson.
