Max Klinger is a character in M*A*S*H.

History[edit]

When Marge talked to her neighbors about the last episode of M*A*S*H, one of them said that she missed Klinger already.[1]

At the Springfield Wax Museum, all of the statues melted during an intense heat wave, among them the statues of the original cast of M*A*S*H. Several items associated with the characters were left floating in a puddle of melted wax, including Klinger's fur stole.[2]

Behind the Laughter[edit]

Portrayed by Jamie Farr, Klinger was one of the most popular characters on M*A*S*H and one of the few to appear for the entire run of the show. His trademarks were cross-dressing (in the early seasons, in an attempt to get a psychiatric discharge) and repeatedly hatching other schemes to get out of the Army.
