Uter is most likely based on Augustus Gloop, the gluttonous German boy from the book ''Charlie and the Chocolate Factory'' by Roald Dahl and its 1971 film adaptation "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory";(rather ironic, since Uter made a diarama of the book in the episode Lisa's Rival). Üter Zörker is an overweight exchange student from Germany.

Profile

Uter has a huge passion for eating chocolate and candy, he is often seen alone eating sweets. He once made a chocolate diorama of Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory as a school project, but was tempted enough to eat it [1]

He is a player on the Kwik-E-Mart Gougers Peewee Hockey League Team. He also enjoys flirting with Lisa Simpson and sometimes he tries to make friends with Bart. Usually on the school bus he sits by himself eating candy. He enjoys watching German soccer.

Uter was left behind on the American Civil War field trip and went missing, and his parents demanded Skinner to tell them where their missing son was [2]. However, he has since reappeared. He was once seen stuck in a cobweb in the school air vents [3].

Family

Uter has two parents and his uncle is a proud owner of a bubblegum-factory in Düsseldorf (respectively Basel in the German version).

Behind the Scenes

Uter is most likely based on Augustus Gloop, the gluttonous German boy from the book Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl and its 1971 film adaptation "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory";(rather ironic, since Uter made a diarama of the book in the episode Lisa's Rival). His favorite catchphrase is "Don't make me run; I'm full of chocolate!"

Contrary to the common English assumption that Üter is a Swiss name, it is probably a misconstruction of the common German name Günther. In the German version of the show Üter is named Uter and is an exchange student from Switzerland with a thick Swiss-German accent.
