Lacey Van Aster is a wealthy benefactress in Capital City.

History[edit]

When Tracy Letts told Lisa that he could get her into the Horace Frick Academy but that it would cost $84,000 a year, Julian mentioned that he knew a wealthy benefactress who could help: Lacey Van Aster. Julian, Katya, and Lars then took Lisa to see Lacey. In her house, Lacey recounted how she had seduced and destroyed Theodore, Franklin, and Eleanor Roosevelt. Julian interrupted her and asked if she could provide a scholarship for Lisa. Lacey then put Lisa through the "extensive" interview process, which consisted of one question asking how she was. Afterward, she gave Lisa the bursary but wrote the check out to Julian.

Later that night, Julian, the singer for the Inhuman Capotes, and Tracy Letts explained that they used Lisa as part of an annual scam they ran on Lacey Van Aster. They would tell children like Lisa and Martin Prince that they could fit in at the Horace Frick Academy, secure a bursary check from Lacey, and then cash it themselves to keep the money.
