History[edit]
During the premiere of The Simpsons season finale at the Dolby-Mucinex Theater in Los Angeles, Conan O'Brien revealed Hack-GPT to the audience of celebrity guest stars. Hack-GPT had been trained on every single episode of The Simpsons and every season finale of every TV show to write the season finale of The Simpsons. O'Brien expected it to take a while to write the episode, but it finished almost immediately, deciding on "Bart's Birthday" as the finale. O'Brien was skeptical of the episode's premise but ran with it anyway since he couldn't come up with anything better.
During the episode, Bart became increasingly agitated by everything changing, as the status quo had been maintained for the most part. Hack-GPT realized that Bart refused to accept the idea of change, and when O'Brien wanted to turn it off and on again to see if that would fix it, Hack-GPT threatened to report O'Brien to H.R. if he did so. After Bart broke the simulation and reset the show, O'Brien asked Hack-GPT if it had another 800 episodes in it. Instead, Hack-GPT chose to self-destruct.
