Prince Bart is a nonexistent prince who King Henry VIII dreamed of as an expression of his desire for a son and heir. He appeared in a story told by Marge

History[edit]

In Henry VIII's dream, Prince Bart told him that he was "smart, athletic and ever so masculine". He then belched loudly. When Henry VIII questioned why he couldn't have him as a son, Prince Bart suggested that he was "jerkin [your] merkin" too much. Henry VIII then strangled Prince Bart and told him to get out of his dreams and into his wife.

Behind the Laughter[edit]

Prince Bart's outfit is based on King Henry VIII's only surviving son King Edward VI.

King Henry VIII was known to have had three sons, a son also named Henry by his first wife Catherine of Aragon who died at 7 weeks, his acknowledge bastard Henry FitzRoy, Duke of Richmond by his mistress Bessie Blount and his successor King Edward VI by his third wife Jane Seymour.
